Scope is a UK disability organisation whose focus is people with cerebral palsy (cp). One in 400 children born in the UK has cp. Our aim is that disabled people achieve equality: a society in which they are as valued and have the same human and civil rights as everyone else.
The collected clothes are sorted and graded and sold on by the charity to people needing affordable clothes through their network of charity shops. This provides much needed income for the charities work. The items that cannot be sold are recycled ensuring that nothing goes to waste or to landfill.

Locating a Scope clothes bank at your school, community centre, car park, or other community location will help Scope raise much needed funds for their life changing work...
''It's amazing to see what can happen if you get the right help and support. For example we were at Coral's School the other day when Coral's class was taking assembly and all the kids were taking part. At the end Coral was up there with the other children playing musical instruments, dancing a dance, doing exactly what she was supposed to be doing with the other children, really enjoying herself and this is what can happen when you get the right support.
Why do we have to struggle and fight to get that?''

We are seeking locations for Scope to put their clothing banks. If you have a suitable location for a Scope clothing bank please contact us and we will arrange for a bank to be delivered to your site. Ideal sites are where the local community can get access to drop off their clothes. |
